History
This plot of land was a taxi stand bought by our great grandfather back in the 1940's.
Owned and operated by 3rd & 4th generation of the same family that opened it back in the late 1950's.
We started as a little beer and wine store occupying
1 of the 4 units in our current building.
Over the next 50 years we have continued to expand into the rest of our building.
In 2012 we completed a total renovation to our building and now occupy all 4 units giving us 3,600 sq feet of space to be able to handle the variety of new products on the market today, including over 300 new wines.
Even with all the new space, we have never forgotten that 800 sq foot beer and wine store's mission of treating every customer as a neighbor and friend.

Why is it called a PACKAGE STORE?
The term "package" derives from the fact that following the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, a political compromise was reached with leaders of the temperance movement whereby containers of alcoholic beverages could not legally be carried in public uncovered from view. Thus, stores that sold alcohol for consumption elsewhere wrapped or "packaged" them for their customers' convenience.
